I had the opportunity to work for the Royal Aeronautical Society last year to design a badge for recipients of their annual medals and honours awards. This was an amazing opportunity as I have a keen interest in both science and design and learnt a lot from working with the well-renowned manufacturer Fattorini and the Society.
I created a series of 100 initial rough ideas and then presented three final designs to the Royal Aeronautical Society. They were looking for a badge that would be both modern and sophisticated.
I had to simplify and change my designs to work on a small scale and comply with the manufacturer's regulations.
